Cash

US Only.  For those of you concerned about identity theft who have been told by everyone except your credit card issuer to leave your card unsigned on the back, nothing protects your identity better than cash.

Check

Legaleze:  Payable to Cafe Max for the amount of purchase only, written and signed in the presence of the cashier, by the account holder whose name is imprinted on the check, with a Texas drivers license or picture ID, and a local address.  

English:  It must be you who lives in Texas, you who writes the check, you who must be here when you write the check, and you who must be able to prove to us that you are who you are.  We frown upon bounced checks and we prosecute (actually, it's the the county constable who does).

American Express

The card member must be the one to sign.  No "I buy, you fly" by credit card.  In other words, don't send someone with your card.  The signature on the slip must be by the card member.  And the back of your card must be signed as well.  It would be nice if your signature and the one on the back of the card matched.  And if you are going to send someone with your card even though you have read this, if your name is something like Bill don't send a girl because we can tell it's not you even if she signs her name "Bill".

We now have an ATM machine in the to go area.  Fee is still $1.
